Laura brings extensive experience throughout all levels of politics to the Ridge Policy Group, including her time working in the Pennsylvania General Assembly, along with her dedication to multiple campaigns. She has received multiple awards and honors for her impressive work.

Experience

• Chief of Staff to the Pennsylvania House Majority Leader, where she managed the House floor, including running the calendar and overseeing the legislative process, oversaw more than 900 caucus staffers, and worked closely with legislators from both sides of the aisle, on key legislation, including budget, gaming, jobs and economic development, health care, technology, environment, and education
• Director and Chief Policy Counsel for the Speaker and House Minority Leader and assisted in the management of the impeachment of a Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice
• Shareholder at Buchanan Ingersoll and Rooney, where she represented Fortune 500 clients, statewide trade associations, non-profits, and small businesses on legislative, administrative, and regulatory matters with an emphasis on legislative solutions to complex client matters.
• Assistant Consumer Advocate in the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office where she worked on utility matters before the PUC
• 2016 Clinton Presidential Campaign Statewide Legal Steering Committee member, 2012 and 2008 Obama Presidential Campaign Statewide Legal Steering Committee member, Central Pennsylvania Legal Counsel to the 2004 Kerry Presidential Campaign, Central Pennsylvania Lawyers Coordinator for the 2006 and 2002 Rendell Gubernatorial Campaign, and member of Governor Ed Rendell’s Management and Productivity Transition Committee and its IT Subcommittee
• Legislative staffer to former Congressman Bart Gordon
• During law school, Laura clerked for the Honorable Gerard L. Goettel, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York and was a legal intern for the Federal Election Commission
